Community Groups at Juniper & Jade Psychotherapy Inc.
What is a Community Group?
A Community Group is a supportive, therapist-led space where individuals come together to connect, share experiences, and grow. Unlike traditional one-on-one therapy, community groups emphasize the healing power of belonging. Participants gain comfort in knowing they are not alone in their struggles, while also building meaningful peer connections.
Why Community Matters
Research shows that community is a powerful protective factor against stress. When people feel connected to others, they are better able to cope with life’s challenges, regulate emotions, and build resilience. For teens and young adults in particular, positive peer support plays a vital role in emotional well-being, identity development, and confidence.
