Teen & Young Adult Summer Groups

Summer can bring a mix of freedom and uncertainty—more unstructured time, shifting routines, and social pressures that don’t take a break. Our summer groups are designed to offer a supportive space where teens and young adults can stay connected, build skills, and feel understood during this transition.

At Juniper & Jade Psychotherapy, we believe growth happens in connection. These groups provide a safe, therapist-led environment where participants can explore their experiences, strengthen relationships, and build confidence in themselves.

What Participants Can Expect

Our summer groups create space for:

  • Meaningful Peer Connection: Build authentic relationships with others navigating similar challenges
  • Emotional Awareness & Expression: Learn how to identify, understand, and communicate emotions more effectively
  • Improved Communication Skills: Practice expressing needs, setting boundaries, and navigating conflict
  • Stronger Sense of Self: Clarify personal values, identity, and goals
  • Guidance & Support: Receive thoughtful input from clinicians in a supportive, nonjudgmental setting
  • Real-Life Skill Building: Apply tools for managing stress, relationships, and decision-making

Group Structure

  • Groups are organized by age to support developmentally appropriate conversations
  • Led by therapists specializing in adolescent and young adult mental health
  • Designed to balance structured guidance with open discussion
  • Offered as a summer series to provide continuity and deeper connection over time

Who These Groups Are For

These groups may be a good fit for teens and young adults who:

  • Feel isolated, anxious, or unsure in social situations
  • Struggle with communication or peer relationships
  • Experience overwhelm, low motivation, or emotional ups and downs
  • Are navigating transitions (school changes, independence, identity development)
  • Would benefit from connection, structure, and support over the summer

Why Summer Groups Matter

Without the built-in structure of the school year, challenges can feel more intense or harder to navigate alone. Summer groups offer consistency, connection, and a place to continue growing—so participants return to the fall feeling more grounded and confident.
